The other day a problem occured that I do not seem to have the knowledge to fix. I was driving on the highway and my right rear tire blew out, not the problem, I just pulled over, threw on the spare and went to get e new tire. But after changing the tire, I got back in the car and couldn't get any volume on the radio. Everything seems to work fine, the channels change, the CD player is working and they appear to be playing, there is just no audio. I checked the 2 radio fuses in the interior fuse box by the gas pedal and they are both fine. I am at a loss as to where to go from here. I called the dealer and they said it could take hours to fix that problem. I would think it would be a rather easy fix. I just had to spend a bundle on a new heated o2 sensor and don't want to drop over $100 to fix this problem. What can I do? I searched the internet and found some things about an external amp or a subwoofer amp, but are not familiar with them. I also saw something about a dead HU, but I am not sure what an HU is. BTW I never turned off the car while changing the tire. If that matters at all.

Unfortunetly you have a Saturn Ion and Im not to familiar with them.
But ill chime in for the parts I do know. HU is Head unit. Tho the head unit can work (change stations, change CD disks etc) if a capacitor failed somewhere in the unit, then you could produce no sound. I have a feeling you radio problem is just in coincidense with your tire issue. When the tire went was that a huge virbration that came along with it?

There was some leed up vibrations and a good vibration when it blew, but I pulled over right away. I am thinking a wire is just loose, but I am not sure how to go about fixing it.
