I have a 97 Saturn SL1. Today I did a sharp turn to avoid someone hitting me. Afterwards I noticed my steering was stiff when you turn either all the way to the right or all the way to the left. It is ok if I'm just driving straight but when I have to make a turn or park it is real stiff and hard to turn. Please help.

Did you run over anything while avoiding the object?
Tire pressure ? Results after a visual inspection of the car boh the on the ground and up in the air? Is it hard to turn with the front wheels on jack stands? Is it hard to turn with the car moving on the highway? What about at a dead stop? A simple diagnosis is needed as a start

Look under the car and see if anything looks bent or broke. If not check res. and put on jack stands and turn all the way Left and right, which bleeds the hydraulic system. I'd beat you have something broke or bent.
